c.1925 Felix The Cat Childrens 10pc English Porcelain Tea Set
Outstanding children's size 10 piece porcelain tea set featuring the earliest representation of Felix The Cat. Each piece has finely detailed, color graphics plus a caption (except the creamer and sugar bowl). They're gold rimmed, gold handled, and gold signed "Shell Made In England" on the bottom of every piece. I believe this indicates that the ceramic piece was made in England, imported into the U.S., and the comic images, glazing, and gold paint then applied. Included are four 3-3/4" saucers, four 2" wide cups, one 1-7/8" tall creamer, and one 2½" wide sugar bowl. Date Sold: Mar. 2008
